(Rosy Shrestha)

**Background**

After a challenging period of recovery from a heel injury that required extended bed rest, I embarked on a transformative journey toward holistic healing. Upon my physician’s recommendation, I transitioned from high-intensity gym workouts to the mindful practice of yoga—a shift that profoundly reshaped my physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

**Journey to Yoga**

Yoga became a sanctuary of serenity, offering a balanced focus on the mind-body connection rather than purely physical outcomes. The practice introduced gentle yet powerful challenges through intentional poses, gradually rebuilding my strength, flexibility, and resilience. Beyond physical benefits, yoga provided mental clarity, alleviated chronic discomfort, and restored a sense of calm—a stark contrast to the high-energy gym environment I once knew.

**Empowerment Through Practice**

Yoga’s principles of mindfulness and breathwork transcended the mat, fostering newfound confidence and presence in my professional life. The discipline honed my ability to speak authentically and connect meaningfully with audiences, transforming anxiety into empowerment. This personal evolution inspired me to pursue yoga teacher training, equipping me to guide others in discovering their own paths to wellness.

**Teaching Philosophy**

My approach blends physical alignment with emotional and mental nourishment, emphasizing self-compassion, mindful movement, and the transformative power of breath. I am passionate about creating inclusive, calming spaces where students can cultivate inner strength, resilience, and self-awareness. My own experience with injury and recovery drives my commitment to adaptive, accessible practices that honor each individual’s unique journey.
